Celery Gratin

Ingredients:

  • 2 Celery hearts
  • Salt & fresh ground black pepper
  • Pinch of dried sage
  • 100g Cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
  • Watercress to garnish

Instructions

1 Cut the celery hearts in half lengthways and across, and simmer in a pan of boiling water for 10 - 15 minutes.

2 Drain well and place in individual heatproof dishes. Season lightly with salt, pepper and a little of the sage. Place the cheese slices on top.

3 Preheat the grill to High. Cook the celery dishes until the cheese is browned and bubbly.

4 Garnish with watercress and serve immediately.
